got one about 6 month ago, finally decided to put it on one of my bow.
WOW what a difference.
Knowing that I have the consistent draw every time, allows me to focus on my release. great learning tool, because if my arrow is flying way off, then it isn't because I had inconsistent draw.
one less thing to worry about while learning.
for those of you who suggested this, THANK YOU!!

I've had one on my bow for over 25 years. I'm still learning.

Viper's probably referring to a couple of things I learned - finger placement on the string, getting off the string properly, back tension. It's probably the best way to learn back tension without a coach, that I know of.
Probably most important is the sequence of events you have to do to make it go off. If set up properly.

The apparent purpose of a clicker is for Anthony Camera to play cute w/ his LW posts, ostensibly to drive traffic to his web page and increase his book sales. Maybe if we all purchase his book, he will actually break down and contribute something meaningful to this thread.
Looked but cannot locate Anthony on the sponsor list - maybe I am not spelling it correctly?

LOL, you don't have to buy my book to understand why a clicker came about and what is used for. It's archery 102. I've actually posted it here and elsewhere a few times and so have others.
Nice try.

If I had to guess he's referring to using a clicker as a psycho trigger rather than a draw check (at least that's how I use mine). Draw back, hit anchor, keep pulling, keep pulling, click and release. But that's just a guess.

Exactly, but it shouldn't be a guess. That's how/why shooters should be trained to use it. The only exception is when a relatively new shooter can not stabilize his draw length.
Olympic archers do not need draw checks (but that's another story), but they can't rely on their brains to consciously initiate the release. Setting up an anticipatory response (click/release) takes conscious thought out of the equation.
And yeah, that can take years to develop.

I've been using one last year and it has really tightened my groups up and raised my confidence. I just need to remember it's just part of the shot and not to focus solely on hearing the click.
