Got my wife a mad dog recurve ordered. It should be around 25 #s at 25" and I wad looking for suggestions. I thought about some of those Fleetwood carbon arrows in the 700 spine category but didn't know if the 800 might be better. Suggestions please.... Thanks

Try aluminum 1616s. I have always started my roomates/friends on Easton Jazz 1616s on their 25# bows---work awesomely! God and Christ Bless

You can try gold tip entradas or carbon express predators or medallions.

I make kids arrows , 1/4" x 24" wood arrows , $30/Doz plus $10 shipping. They fly great our of 25# bows.

Go with 800's at least and let them about 28" with 125 tips. Personally I would get a 1616 aluminum...also at 28" and probably 90 to 100 grain tips.

Big -

1516s, (approx 1400 spine) full length with NIBB type points. That would be the recipe for a good production recurve, don't know about the maddogs.

Viper out.

I think most maddog longbows are cut 1/8th shy of center

We run an archery class from our church and use the gold tip lightning shafts. We shoot 25 # Little fox bows by Samick. They are tough as nails and don't break unless shot by an other arrow. The only draw back is they have softer pointed nibs and if they miss and hit rocks it dulls the points quickly. 28" long Lancaster has the shafts for 4.00 apiece. Not sure about spine but 35# recommended weight limit.

Whatever arrow you get, leave it full length until she is settled w form for this bow--- then begin tuning and cutting- -i bareshaft tune. My predator did want a little heavier arrow than expected, but at 25#s i would start w 800 or 900 s or what the aluminum guys recommended.

I have some extra predator 800s, if you'd like to try.
