Today’s First Shot is 19 yards at a quartering target from a standing position. Begin your draw and get about half way then hold for a count of 4. (The animal turned and looked as you began your draw, then finally looked away). Do not move your bow while counting. Finish you draw without letting down and complete the shot!

God Bless,

CD

Good call CD. I angled one up in there. I kept doing it for awhile after my first shot. That was good hunting practice.

One of the things that gives us older ones trouble besides the twister shot is remembering what we are supposed to do when we get there! I remembered the stop draw just after release. Did it on next shots but this is first. Grazed it!

Another hot afternoon, but I'm not complaining. Yesterday's shot got rained out. My shot was taken with a Wasatch 45# 62" with a Gamegetter 500 (2016) 125gr point. I just finished a B55 string for it today, set the brace at 8" and gave it a try. I'm not sure if I have the right arrow. I need to go through the bareshaft planing exercise. Good call CD.

Shot as called with 51# Predator with Herritage 250s. I sat Glenn in an angle to get the 1/4 shot. I shot a little to the right, but I think I would've got both lungs. At least the one on the far side. Nice call!
