Just moved to Dallas from South of Houston literally. Are there any ranges around or guys that shoot Traditional? I have been out of the game a few years but would like to get back into shotring. Just purchased a Chad Holme River Runner and haven't even shit it yet. I live in Dallas close to White Rock Lake on the West side.

First congratulations for getting out of Houston! there is an archery range between Oakcliff and Grand Prairie called the Irving Bowhunters association ... certainly the best place to shoot. A membership is required private message me your info and some time and I'm going out there I'll give you a shout

The Denton County club was not very active this year. I believe only one TBOT shoot and a Deerman shoot. Denton is a trad only club. Flint, I have never shot at Irving but I hear good things about them. I have shot Collin County which is out of McKinney to the north of you. I have also shot Cowtown Bowhunters in Ft.Worth a couple of times this year. They are not trad only but have a couple of trad only shoots per year and always have a trad division in all their shoots at which you will shoot with compound shooters but from different stakes. There are a number of good shoots around the area and the State. We are coming up on the end of the season. There will be a couple of upcoming shoots in the San Angelo area. One is called their Mid Summer Melt Down. If you like to sweat, that is one to go to.
Sorry to hear you ate your new bow. Re read your post.

Mark, if he cut it into small pieces it may have been easier to swallow than getting rid of it.

Irving Bowhunters have a great range but they are mostly compound shooters. I'm sure you would be welcome, but it really depends on who you end up speaking with. My suggestion would be to take "Texas King" up on his offer and have a look see.
