Just purchased a dozen 1816 Easton arrow shafts. The "G" nocks that were sent with the shafts are so tight, I can't push them in. Even with the little tool they came with.

Arrows shafts are 1816 Easton Platinum Plus which have the G UNI bushing system.

The nocks they sent/recommended are the "G" nock. PN 1630-01

Are they the wrong nocks or am I missing something?

Thanks

D -

A SMALL groove "G" (0.088" throat) with fit a 12 strand Dacron or 14 strand D97 string with #4 Nylon or similar servings)

A LARGE groove "G" (0.098" throat) with fit a 14 strand Dacron or 16 strand D97 string with #4 Nylon or similar servings)

Those sizes are appropriate for the weight range of an 1816.

Without knowing the specs of your string, hard to make a call.

Viper out.

The nock itself won't slide into the bushing on the end of the arrow. I have used a similar nock on 1812 the Genesis arrows.

The G nocks that were sent/recommended with my new shafts have the: LG groove. 6.25

I would contact the shaft supplier and ask why they did not come with the nocks installed. Normally Easton shafts come with the nocks already installed. Sounds like the supplier had the same hoping you would be too polite to complain. There are always tolerances with push in nocks and it sounds like you have tight bushings with slightly oversize nocks. Even a thousandth of an inch can make a big difference.

It has been my experience with different easton bushings that g nocks are very, very tight. I like them a lot though.
