Who likes to use a feather burner when fletching? I like the looks of the Young burner as it looks pretty easy to do.

I use wild turkey feathers for fletching and used a Young feather burner for about 20 years.

There is a learning curve on the burner to get it set just right, you need to get a clean cut on both ends and not scorch the shaft. Never put the burner anywhere your wife dusts, a little push on the wire and you have to reset everything.

I bought a Vario feather clipper and never used my burner again.

I had one. Never could bend the wires to suit me. Also wire changed shape when hot. Burned my dipped, crested shafts. Sold it and bought a Vario cutter. You either hate it or love it, just like certain bows.

Some products require the owner to do their part to make the operation work. A feather burner allow your creative ideas to develop. I have a box with about 20 different wire shapes. I have a Young and an old Reppo burner which is really cool.

I've got a Young Feather Burner. Used it for years, until I got a Lil Chopper. Haven't used the burner since.

I've had my Young feather burner for around 20+ years and still works great. When I first started out I bought a chopper, used it for about 3 dozen arrows.Just wasn't happy with the cut so I bought a burner.I can do so much more with the burner, different lengths and height and made a more custom look!

I absolutely love mine.

It just depends. I can chop them way faster, but if I'm splicing or doing something custom the burner works much better.

I made my feather burner from the 5 volt output of an old PC power supply and some 22 gauge nichrome 80 wire. Works great. Smells awful.

Been burning feathers for about 45 years. Bought a Young Feather Burner new, when they sold for about 20 dollars. You gotta love the smell of burnt feathers!!

A young burner and templates from 3 rivers is all you need.

I love my YFB. It's the exciting final step to all my custom creations.
