Several months ago a Leatherwaller showed off some pics of a beautiful knife he made out of a old file. He seemed to be a full or part time knife maker and did some real nice work. I messaged him about making a knife out of extra wood from a bow Sixby was making for me. I finally have the bow, extra macassar ebony for the handle and the file. Now I need to tract him down again? Any help is appreciated!!!

I made one recently, but I'm no knife maker. Bodork made me one from a bodyfile. Maybe it was him. Is this the one you saw. JF

Jeff that knife and the newest one you made should look pretty good together?

a great how-to... I remember something like that from Boys Life Magazine, or maybe an old Boy Scouts Handbook.

Thanks guys, not sure if that first knife is it. Woodinhand that knife looks great also, do you build for others? Search for the word File did not bring it up either. Thanks and any other info is appreciated.

I don't know a thing about knife making but I have watched and enjoyed the TV show Forged in Fire. I have wondered if those of you here on the leatherwall are hand forging knives like in that show...?
