where is the shoot?

It's at the state's new archery range......Directions to Shoot... Take Exit 135 (Mayflower) off of Interstate 40 onto Arkansas Highway 89. Go East on 89 for approx. 4 miles. You will see a big sign for Oak Bowery Baptist Church, turn left onto Clinton road go approximately 2 miles to shoot location.

The range is not far out of Conway... but just far enough... :)

Bob, what are you expecting in numbers. Looks like you will have several venders trying to decide Alabama or your shoot.

So a flipper rest and a recurve ILF bow with no stab is out?

It's not a real big shoot, but we are trying to get there. I don't do Facebook, but there are pictures and details there on the TBOA page... I think. It seems like there was only 6 or 8 vendors there last year, including Terry Hughes, that started building the "Arkansas Stick" many years ago. I don't shoot recurves, but I think it's an open class, so an ILF would be fine as long as it didn't have sights. I will contact the club president and ask.

looks like Roy Hall (Navajo bows) and I will be attending, looking forward to it.

This shoot is not real big if we had a 100 shooters that would be awesome! Like Bob said we are trying to grow it. I think Bob did a pretty good job on the information he supplied. If any of you are more interested post another question or private message me your email and I will add you to our mailing list and you'll get the newsletter and flyer.

I private messaged Tzioxphon about his equipment question. Let me just answer it for everyone.

We have no problems with ILF bows or flipper rests. Just no sights or stabilizers. We also don't allow binoculars or range finders.

I hope to see some more selfbow guys there this year... it seems like there's more off us every year.

The good news is that the temps will be great with low to mid 80s for highs... the bad news is they are calling for rain on and off... so bring an umbrella... :)

Hey guys, I have heard good things about this shoot, load up and go. Navajo bows and I will be there about mid-afternoon on Friday, looking forward to it.

I'll be there about the same time Bill... I just talked to R. Powell and he is really looking forward to seeing you.

We used to have some good times at the Ft.Worth shoot. Is the buzzard that was always on top of the tent still around, had a few holes in it.

I remember that buzzard at MoJam... :) I'll ask Robert about it...

For those that want an early start, the range will be open today. Robert and Dave Alrbright will probably be there in a few minutes... :) I will load the camper and head over tomorrow. It will be great to see everyone again.

I really had a great time seeing old friends, that was so special for me. Thank all of you for all your hard work setting up an excellent course. Bob, could you post winners. Thanks and see you in the fall good Lord willing. Bill Ward sorry we had to leave early.

Thanks for the bump Bill... I have been waiting until I can get the scores so that I can post them... It was great seeing you... since we are both retired ag teachers, we need all of the help we can get. :) I sure wish there hadn't been so much rain though... Roy would have had a lot more people seeing his awesome bows! It was REAL NICE having you both there!
