i have a flat bow made from rock maple sight twist in limb but pulls to heavy would like to get reduced to around 45 50 # guy that made it moved out of state

That's a very easy job, if you have built bows in the past. Providing the tiller is correct you should be able to take full length scrapes in equal amounts on both limbs. But there is a bit more to it than that. That's the meat and potatoes of it though.

And you MAY be able to narrow limb width in conjunction with decreasing thickness. That's actually my favorite method. But it depends on how much weight you're talking about too.

Just took off 20# on a 70# bow I built about 25 years ago, which I could no longer handle. Also straightened a bit of a limb lean/twist in doing so. The bow was over built to begin with so I did both what Pearl and fdp suggest. I narrowed the limbs first then scraped the belly to get to the weight I wanted.

never made a bow anybody i could get to do the work realy nice looking bow dont want to mess it up

If you have never made a bow, the twist part you mentioned, may be an issue for you. I would get some one to help out one step at a time. When I adjusted my flat limb pignut, I used 60 grit mounted on a high speed orbital sander. When I got blanks from Craig he left lots of material, which allowed me to use power tools, not exactly the traditional way. I fix twists with the string on the bow. fdp has lots of experience.
