I received a Beeler D/R bow in a trade last year. It's 56" 52@27. It's a really nice shooting bow. Quite and seems pretty quick. I just don't know anything about his bows other than he's out of business. Any info would be appreciated.

I know Dave,..he was a great friend too me at a very difficult time in my life..he reached out and gave me support when I needed it and I never met him in person.... something I will never forget...I do know when he was building his bows he was very passionate about it and paid great attention too detail..!..everyone who received a Beeler bow loved them.....I don't know what happened we lost touch, he may have been going through some tuff times? I do know he moved and stopped building bows.?,.so I would say you have a very nice bow,...and a limited bow at that..

Agree with rattlesnake. Last I corresponded with him (and I've lost track of him also) he was working on the profile of a new longbow that was going to have a more recurvish yet short riser.

I'd like to visit with him again.

Dave moved to Burlington Iowa a couple years ago I actually ordered a bow from him in August of 2015 after he moved , I commented on a picture of one of his bows on a Facebook page on how I would like to have one he latter sent me a message that he was out of business but would build me a bow if I sent him a $300.00 deposit I still haven't seen the bow and have lost my deposit since he has cut all contacts with everyone!!!

Thanks for the information. Fritz, sorry to hear that. I believe I read where his daughter,I believe, was very ill.

It is a very good shooting bow.

Perhaps it can be all straighted out.?..I always feel people deserve a chance..?...we all go through bad times in life..Lord knows I have...

I too have one of his Tracker bows, it's my favorite. He made a great bow at a fair price however there a several others making the same design, Java Man inferno and Jerbowden Whip are two that I can think of right now but if Dave resurfaces I will order another of his.

I bought one from him it had a defect in it and he sent my money back and said he was going to build a new form. I don't think he every did. I though he was a ok guy.

Dave made a bow for my daughter. Turned out great. My daughter quit shooting so it was given to my buddy Keith Wilsons wife in KS. She loved it. Dont know if shes still shooting or not.

Shame he did what he did. Never expected that. He was a good friend. Lost touch with him.

I guess that sometimes bad things happen to good people.

I had a long running business relationship with Dave, and through that we became pretty good friends.

He fell on some hard times due to some family illnesses, and other things, and kinda just fell off the map.

He really is a good guy, and I think he just kinda lost his way. I pray he is on the way to recovering from his misfortune.

Sorry to hear that Dave had serious problems like that. He made me a bow and shipped it to me in Ireland many years ago. I really just shoot ILF stuff now but its a fine 60" longbow and unique in these parts. I wish him well where ever he is. Navan-James.

I finally got my Tracker longbow back from my grandson. It my go to bow for hunting and has killed numerous hogs. I'm sorry to hear of Dave's problems. If there is anything I can do please let me know.

Patrick, I built strings for Dave's bows for a while.

Dave left it up to his customers which string they wanted, but his bows are fast flight compatible, and the majority of the strings I built for him were of fast flight material.

Should you have the opportunity to buy, trade, and hunt with Beeler bow by all means do so. I will never sell or trade my Beeler Tracker longbow. It's a great hunting bow.
