Greetings All,
I dipped some Doug Fir shafts last night and they are still tacky tonight...there shouldn't be a compatibility issue, should there?
I've used Pro Fin in the past and didn't have any issues with pine shafts...
Weather here in Montana is still cool at night, but I had the heat on in the shop all day. I know it's 4 to 8 hours under ideal conditions so I'm hoping it's just due to cool weather...
Any thoughts? I'm all ears.
Thanks in advance, Jason

Humidity, more than temp, plays a big role in how fast finishes dry.

Makes sense...it's been wet here and the shop temp stays cool at night...
Thanks Guys!

They are dry this am...may have to make sure I'm just building arrows when the weather is warmer...lol
More time for walleyes, bears and turkeys I guess!
Thanks Guys!

Rigs, I would give them one more day. Sometimes in high humidity you get a "shell" on the surface that seems to be cured, but the finish isn't cured all the way through.

Rigs: Just make a drying box, from cardboard add a 25 watt light bulb and they will dry over nite. Make the box collapsible so its easily stored. An appliance store should be able to supply the cardboard, plywood top with 12 hooks and your good to go.
