so when picking out a new string on a longbow with a little deflex how short should it be , the builder says a brace of 7.5" of witch seems to be great . just wanting a couple of back ups. and an endless loop if possible . where and whom should I be talking to . Thanks Randy

do you have the bow yet?

get it strung up to the correct brace then measure that string from end of loop to end of loop.

Lots of good string builders out there hunters choice bow strings, tenring string, and stilldub via ebay come to mind.

depends on the builder. If it's by amo its 3 inches shorter than the bow, same as recurves. Best thing is use the string you got and have your new string made according to the old string length and how much higher or lower you want the brace.

Yes.... what GLF said. I recommend stilldub also for flemish twist strings. He has both low stretch and dacron material. I mostly use his strings in BCY-X.
