Do any of you shoot beman 600 arrows centershot? If so what bow poundage, tip weight and length of arrow do you shoot? I got a friend who bought some at an auction but not sure if even my target bows would work with them at 29 3/4 inch draw length. Second option would be to cut them down for one of the females in the family.

I draw about 28 1/2", I would be shooting 600s out of a longbow (hybrid) of 35- 45# , depending on the bow of course.

What kind of bow and draw weight are you talking about?

fdp, I have a bunch of different bows at home, probably 30. I was thinking out of one of my lighter weight hunting bows 44-45 pounds couple of bears and a couple of ben pearsons, or even maybe out of my 36# Tamerlane hc-300. I have just never messed with that weight of arrow.

I've given some thought to acquiring a few of those myself... Cut to about 28" for use with my two R/D longbows, which I'm drawing close to 27" to hit high #40s - low #50s....
I figure between adding some point weight or trimming them back a shade, I would be able to get really close.
But the amount of centershot is a pretty big deal....

2018's are prime in my opinion. They are relatively small in diameter, reasonably heavy, and tougher than all get out.
I would try them. I've been able to use arrows from one bow to another by doing different things.
One thing you can do to make them weaker if needed is to use the absolute thinnest meaterial possible on your sight window. People really are hesitant to do that for soem reason. But I use .022 wood veneer with nothing over it quite often.
Since you can change the point weight pretty easily with screw in points, there is that option as well.
It's certainly worth playing with I'd say.

Hmm, wrong thread.
BUUUUT, you can still manipulate the centershot and point weight as I described.

those arrows should work fine in the 35/45# range if you know how to tune them to the bow,ex.adjust sideplate, start full length bare shaft, different pt wt. etc.

I usually shoot a .620, but have killed a couple of bucks with Beman's at .600. My bow is 50 at 29 inches and I have 285 up front. It's a lot easier to make a weak arrow shoot straight than a stiff one, in my opinion. Just have to know how to tune.
By the way, I also shoot a .390 out of the same bow with 360 grains up front.

Beeman Centershot 600s. I draw 27". I cut my arrows to 27 1/2" with 125 or 145 gr. point depending on the bow, usually around 45#.
I tune my STRING to my arrows.

I cut mine to 27" (about a 26 1/2 " draw) 125 gr. points, and the fly great out of my 45 to 50 pound bows. (but I'm not drawing to the 28" that the bows are weighed at)

I recently got into experimenting with carbon. I shoot a 45lb recurve with low stretch string. I draw 28", my son just bought a dz Gold Tip 600s and they are cut to 29 1/4 inches, with a total of 190 grains up front. They are the perfect match. Honestly they fly better than the 500s.
I've mostly been an aluminum/wood guy but the 600s are my next dz arrows.
