I have 3 squares that I measured when my brace height kept changing, when it went up I knew something was wrong #1 old potawatomi, dead on #2 Just say Taiwan mm on 1 side inches on the other off 1/8 short # 3 couldn't read the stamp but mm on 1 side and inches on the other 1/8 short. If you only used 1 ever I guess it wouldn't matter but put a tape to yours and see how far off it is.

Mine's right on, but it does have the mm on the opposite side. It's from the 1980's, a Potawatami brand.

Mine's cut back 1/8" to clear the nock when setting nock height. When checking brace from the throat of the grip to the string add 1/8". It's the way it's designed.

Right on. I would think you could look at a square and see if it was off 1/8" Doesn't the first line line up with the edge of the square? Or the center line of an arrow shaft,if it is the kind you actually use a shaft with. Maybe I have just never seen one that was off. >>>-------> Ken

Yep. They're not all cut the same. I agree with Yellow dog, except I don't hold the base of the square on the throat of the riser, but rather clip it on the string an read the ruler measurement at the throat of the riser. When you clip the square onto the string, you're assure that it is exactly perpendicular to the string so you get a consistent measurement each time. If you put the base of the square in the throat of the grip, the ruler part of the square may or may not be square to the string, which results in small differences in brace height measurements.
