X2 on the ticks. Been to the Delaware the last couple of days for shad and those buggers are everywhere. Don't think I've seen them this thick. Bring your tick spray.
Friday might be a tad wet but that shouldn't deter anyone. A great shoot for those of you who haven't attended. Not a lot of vendors as it's a shooter's shoot.

Just got home from Whittingham. Rained all morning getting there, but cleared out well. Some changes on Course #2 but good changes. Vendors seemed to me up from last year. Always good looking and buying. We always wait for the food truck, but it broke down on the way and we missed it. Met up with Sean B and Tony Z from NY. There are two fine fellows. Took my '70B and the #2 white tip 48# limbs I got from Dave Harby, who was also in attendance. The bow and I were on the same page and I shot well. On or about 120 miles one way but well worth it. Until next year. Shick

Great time and no tics sprayed up good and gave spray to others. Meet bunch old and new friends. The best part for me was able to do it and make it around the courses and walk around like old days and keep up. Guys asked me where have I been and it was a little sketchy at times on some of the goat trails but ol Cat did her and I felt good about being able to do once more and enjoy it. I did amaze myself and can only thank God for the strength and endurance and giving me some health back I had lost over the coarse of 4 years being sick and broken down.
Was really great seeing and meeting some of you guys. Hope to see ya at Baltimore.

It was good to meet Craig and RymanCat. Great day of shooting, did all the courses, even the golf shoot. Even ran into a guy that let me shoot his Border Covert Hunter. What a rocket launcher that thing is, and the last couple inches feels like your only adding a pound per inch. Wow!

Really good pictures Craig. I think I over did it but feel good. I worked in garden a little yesterday then went up to my 2 leases in NJ. and roosted birds. I got a little close to a Tom trying to call to them to locate and the darn bird was walking into me. I drove in the back to call from ridge and as soon a I got out of truck there he was walking down the trail to me. Oh well. LOL
Couldn't get up at 4:30 this morning when clock sounded off was just to tired this morning from weekend.LOL

I have heard prices are going up for attendies, and vendors are going up to $100 a table. Going to be many not going and that the new club President is a compound guy who is looking to turn it into that. Supposedly the new President stated that vendors don't bring them money. This is all here say, but know of at least two vendors not going; maybe 3.

$50 at the door for three days. That's going to make me think long and hard on this one. But if you're right about trying to make it into a compound shoot then they are on the right track. Too bad. Plus, there's always Baltimore in May.

No secret archers are on the cheap side. Now that's not fake news either.
Just be thankful you can walk and talk so stop crying and worrying. If you like the shoot then pay up your only hurting yourself no one else by Boycotting. LOL
Want to boycott then burn your bow at the pay station.LOL
Now you know this will come also won't be close shots probably just saying like in past although some shots were nice and long. Be bigger back ups too more than likely to consider while the binos are out if compounds are going to be there. Oh that might also mean cross bows too?
Some come to just the swap meets and if 50.00 is the overall price it might deter some too.
I wish I had the issue of just price I really do. Want to trade me.

$30 for one day----a lot of families will skip this shoot that came in the past!--and the targets ARE shot out-really beat---and the vendors don't cost the club any thing either----dumb move IMO

I'm only 1/2 or less from there but it's youth turkey day and youth turkey weekend in NY. I'd way rather call for kids that shoot targets. I do love 3D though. Just a bad weekend. Think by than Tri County Archers shoots may be up and the crowds are way less. They're every Sunday at one of the 6 clubs. Not a member so no motives. Just info for anyone in the area. Week before I might go though

Thats good Craig to hear. Things are costing a lot these days and if they have to charge more we might not like it but its certainly probably not for profit when we are losing so many clubs already because its to expensive to maintain.
Just think about that its necessary evil to increase.

They also have a mixed shoot, both compounds and traditional bows. It gets a good turn out so I don't think that the president being a compound shooter has anything to do with it. I think that it is just economics. I am as cheap as they come but I will probably suck it up and just pay the fee and have a good time.

$30 for 40 3D targets is pricey especially when other clubs are charging $12 for 30 targets. A family of 4 would pay $120. Other large shoots like Denton charge $40 for four days of shooting.
