Hello all. I recently bought an American Archery Shark on the big auction site. Great price ($74.99-free shipping!)
62" AMO, 40#. Bow is in pretty good condition for its age, no cracks, just kinda dusty...
I was wondering if anyone had any idea what the actual---"manufacturer recommended"---brace height should be? As of yet, I have not shot it and I am considering experimenting with the standard 7.5"-8" brace height I typically use, but if anyone knows the brace height American Archery suggested for this model, please let me know. Thanks in advance, God and Christ Bless

Kent, you will be right in the ballpark at 8". Adjust from there to get your best performance/quietness.

Interesting find! I have to say that I've never seen a 62" AA Shark. The Shark(s) I've seen were 56" or maybe even shorter. They had a riser similiar in shape/size to a Nitro. AA started making those after they moved out of Illinois to Oconto Falls, Wis. Does it have a shiny foil "Shark" label on the lower limb, belly side? More pics please.

I see that American Archery painted (silkscreened?) The Shark name on the lower limb.

Thanks Kent! Nice find. Those short, fat tips were AA for sure. I'm surprised their only a single overlay.
