Any body make ILf conversion plates to fit a 1975 Bear KODIAK T/D Magnesium riser?

I'm sure Hiram could convert the riser to ilf but I don't think you would ever be able to use bear limbs on it again. Ilf needs a limb bolt to function and the mag td doesn't have one. Send sam a message or jondo on tradtalk

Don't do it!

Why? Besides, magnesium was a poor choice in the first place for making risers.

I think Border did it once not sure they ever were for sale,it seems this surfaces every few years but doesnt seem do-able.

Those Borders were sold for a while, but I think they decided to focus on their risers thus the new Covert Hunter and their new metal riser designed for their big hooks.

Yes, Border was thinking about making machined risers. But it would have cost them thousands to tool up. I have asked local shops as well. I was quoted a couple grand just the the software for the CNC machine. Then areas around the limb pockets where the limbs set would have to be done by hand. I am not THAT interested. Way to much for maybe a hundred risers?

Thank you guys for your thoughts on this. I was wondering if a ilf adapter could be made that could Temporary be installed on a 1975 Bear B Magnesium riser to use ilf limbs & adapter could be taken off an still use the bear takedown limbs?

ILF limbs are too wide. I have looked at it a few times. They won't go into the pocket. They catch on the latch sides.

You could make adapters and for a set, but you couldn't just buy off the shelf ILF and use whatever adapter you made without grinding the sides of each set of limbs.

Mr. Worden thank you for your input on the project. Have 6 different set of ilf limbs & don't want.to destroy The Bear Magnesium B riser or the ilf limbs guess my plans were just Pie in the Ski. Won't worry about it Any more.

I noticed on ebay there are plates from Hawkeye for 24 shipped and will drop right in a Black bear or a rambo or spectra and made to work ILF by just gluing them in and string it up and making sure your limbs and string are aligned.

Look em up and he even has them for prolines.

Am I cheating myself out of conversions? Yes! Why pay me 100 to convert your riser when you can do it yourself for a 14th of the cost?

Will mine or Loc dos or Broadsides look better? Probably but looks do not kill unless you see your wife mad? lol
