A thread I started on another site revealed serial numbers in the same 999 digit series from both 1959 and 1960. It seems that Bear may have only numbered bows as they went out the door. One big selling feature of a 1962 Kodiak is the use of 3M Scotchply glass. Not your average glass.

1962 not a doubt. The serial is meaningless. The riser material, glass color and coin tell the date.

I sold it's sister the other day. Good looking bow there.

I kept my 38# 62 as it is drop dead gorgeous.

Yep like Dave said, great glass on the 62.

If that bow was 10# heavier I'd buy it.
