If you have access to florescent light bulb boxes 4 ft. They are great. I just shipped a slammer in them.Icut them long ways and slid one side into the other which reduced the width by 1/2. Do this to 2 of them and you got a 8ft box when over lapped a bit will make a nice 72 in or whatever you need.Heres the good part 6 rolls of cheap paper towels at DG store makes great packing. Just slide them over the bow and put it in the box and seal up.Plenty of protection. Only $2.76. for towels.

I make a tip cover of cardboard and tape to keep the bow from punching through the ends. It's simple and effective. Then, bubble wrap from Walmart is around $3.00 and will normally do two bows. I use rolled up newspaper for dunnage on the ends and sides. It keeps the weight down and is plenty secure. The fluorescent light boxes work great too. You can also use two small tri-fold boxes that the USPS provides. They will send them to you free for using priority mail. Go to their website and you can order them.
