Will a 62" Hatfield Take Down handle a 30" draw length?

Before political correctness kicked in we often answered a question like that with a simple question about where bears take a dump.

There is an even better question to answer that particular question: What would Larry do (WWLD).

I had one when back in 1990 something and to 28" it was fine after that it stacked. I have a 29" draw and when I tried to pull past 28" it was like hitting a wall.
It could of been just that one.

that wall is in different places depending on a person strength. But to answer your question , yes is will handle 30" and more.

I have one from 1993. Like The Whittler says, it stacks something awful past 28". But, It will handle a 30" draw, I have a 31" draw.

It will handle 30inch draw no problem. That is the draw length I have and shot mine for years with no issues, since 2000. It has even survived about 4-5 dry fire situations where the arrow nock blew. Mine is 60#@28", I also have a set of 50# limbs no issues. DANNY

When you use the term "stack" make sure you really have put it on a force/draw curve to see if that is really true. I've had guys tell me a bow stacked awful at 29", only to find there was no stack out to 31" and then minimal. I think some folks misinterpret stack with string angle build-up. Anyway, do a force draw...very easy to do on a hand held scale even, and you will see where "stack" actually happens. I use a Hanson scale and use a boat winch so I can lock it at intervals.
