Scooby-doo:

That would probably be me... I anchor with the thumb crooked behind my jaw. It works for me.

But I am not the best shot in here, so don't try to copy me!

It was a great day roaming the Alabama Hinterlands with fellow Leatherwallers.

I commented a couple times how awesome it was to make comments like "that's a good stump there" and "how hard you think that log is?" or "is that a stump or a rock" and be completely understood.

One arrow made that distinct "hitting a rock" sound and we all groaned spontaneously and simultaneously. It was a total blast.

Couldn't have asked for a better day. Rain was in the forecast and rain it did, until just before we started out.

Here's a few pictures I took on the rove. I didn't take as many photos as I normally do cause I was having too much fun and my phone camera has a light leak due to a cracked lens.

Here's Demon the roving dog with what I think was our first attempt. The target, I think, is the little stump (stumplet?) behind Demon.

OK Guys? When's the next get together? Should it be against the law to have so much fun??? Everybody stay SAFE / WELL / COMFORTABLE & BLESSED BE! Batman

From: DaGunz

Well, Batman, speaking of law enforcement, after the thrills in the hills there may or may not have been some experimentation with explosive pneumatic expansion in 2-liter plastic bottles...or there may not have been....

Since 9/10 Broke posted most of the photos, here's one of him shooting.

You can really see the light leak in that last one.

Here we are, about as high as we went today.

Here's my last photo.

Ron has two ridges to wander; we spent a lot of effort scrambling up and trying to avoid rolling back down. But the view is worth the effort, especially now before the leaves come on the trees.

As the guys have said, the day was just outstanding. A great time was had by all, lots of shooting and lots of jokes, and really good food at the end to top it off. Thanks everyone for coming out and contributing to a great rove.
