Anybody familiar with these guys?
http://www.blackeaglearrows.com/Vintage-Tradiditional-Fletched-Arrows-p/vintage-crested-feathers.htm
I stumbled across them earlier, and they're selling a half-dozen for just over $10 a pop.
Interestingly, they do offer 600 shafting and at 34", so I'd think just about anybody could find the right spine

I started shooting Black Eagle vintage traditional shafts in January of this year. Made the switch from 33-34"old/new stock aluminums. Black Eagle is only company (that I know of) in the USA that makes 34" arrows. The pin bushing and pin nocks are optional and add durability to the arrow.
Here are some bow/arrow specs: Hoyt T/D2-H-24-B-L riser Sky J.O.A.D 40# @ 32" long limbs BXY-X endless loop string tiller set to zero center shot 1/16" positive
Black Eagle vintage traditional arrows spine=400 arrow length=34" front insert=aluminum point=125gn nock=pin bushing and nock feathers=4" RH total arrow in grains=503gn grains per pound of bow=12.56

Thank you, Gents!
They do look pretty darn good… Especially at that price. My thing right now is that I'm trying to get myself sorted out with wood shafts, but it does seem kind of prudent to always keep at least a half dozen or a dozen properly tuned & completely warp-proof arrows on hand… Just in case you suddenly get a line on one of Shawn's bunny hunts, or if September should sneak up on you all of a sudden…
That sounds like a hefty arrow, there, Chris.... also sounds as though you've been pretty meticulous with your tuning, so that probably bodes well for the accuracy expectations for those shafts…

Lancaster has a sale on 350 spine Vintage arrows. Looks nice with hand painted cresting. My regular hunting arrows are 33" but I am liking these 34" .

350?
At that spine, I think I'd need every bit of 34"!!
LOL
What kind of poundage goes with that?

Border Covert Hunter 46# @ 32" . Tunes nicely with 150 grain tip. Always difficult finding 33" arrows. I usually have to shoot .300 spine to find shafts that long but need 250 grain up front to weaken a bit

How is a carbon arrow "vintage" or "traditional"?

Its the feather and cresting and marketing toward the traditional archers that decide to use carbon.

I shoot other Black Eagle shafts and love them! I have not shot the Vintage series but I would expect them to be high quality like all their other lines. Customer support is excellent as well!
