Laminar crack?

That can happen for a few reasons. Usually if it dries too fast it will do that, or if the wood is bit "green" when you put a heat gun to it. I've had a few do that and none broke, yet. Some guys fill them with super glue and wrap them with sinew. I think wraps or band aids on a bow are ugly, so I just back fill them with quality CA glue, clamp it together for a few hours, sand it smooth and move along.

I bet that crack is only .100 deep, if that. Fill it and forget it.
