A few pics of the Grizzly I have...40#, 58", but I don't have a string for it and it needs a shelf Bear Rug...It has a few cosmetic blemishes but is not damaged in any way, not cracked or warped. It stands in a closet corner unused...until now. It's going to a new home....>>>-------> TK

James, if you like what you see, shoot me a pm with your address and I'll package it up for you. If anyone has a spare 58" string laying around (and a rest or some shelf material) and wants to part with it to help complete the package for our soldier who needs our help, pm me please. We'll get James the completed bow he needs to build back up to full capacity. Thank you.... This is not a sale, so this thread goes by the rules...just saying.

Trapper, you have reduced me to tears sir. That bow is worth a lot of money and you have declined to allow me to pay just because of my military service. I couldn't be more grateful. It's the most beautiful grizzly I've ever seen... The one I had growing was damaged but that bow you have there is beautiful. I would hang that bow on the wall to encourage me to work hard until I can pull it back. It's a beautiful bow trapper, please let me pay you for it. I really appreciate you wanting to give it to me but you could make good money on that. Thank you for posting those pictures, I cant thank you enough for helping me.. I'm really excited to shoot an arrow again.

James, well I don't have any arrows to go with it either, none the correct spine anyway. I don't know what its worth. It was given to me by a fine gentleman I worked for and with for the Fish and Wildlife Service in Washington hears ago. It was his wife's, but she passed away, and he knew I bow hunted trad so he gave it to me. But I have it just sitting around not getting used so it is worth more to me to have someone who needs it use it. I have three other bows that I hunt with that are around 62#. One is a 45# Tigercat. Tell ya what, when the roles reverse someday and you are built back up to 65#, and I'm down to 40# (I'm an old fart at 61), we can do an exchange or something... It is yours.., send me your addy. TK

1964.

Great year for the Grizzly.

Thanks Kodiak. Wasn't sure myself. The mice did some damage to the finish with their acidic excrement, but they didnt chew on it. Just needs a bit of finish and some polishing.

I'm blown away by your kindness trapper. I hoped that someone would have one I could purchase but never in my wildest dreams did I think this would happen. I'm excited to be an active member of this forum and I will certainly be looking to pay your kindness forward! And yes someday when you are down weight and are looking for a lighter bow I'll still be here. I am amazed by this act of kindness. Thank you for the history of the bow, I can't wait to be able to shoot again. The nice 40# pull of this bow will be so welcome especially with my limited shoulder movement. An old fart haha You are a bit of an old fart at 61 but I'll have my turn being your age in about 40 years! I sense your on the westcoast? I make my way out there to visit my family in Seattle from time to time. I would like very much to stop by and visit with you sometime and Thank You in person Trapper. God bless you and God bless all of us here on this forum.

The '64-65 zebrawoods are my personal favorite 58" grizzlies. Quick, quiet, light in the hand, outstanding grip, nicely done tips, good glass.

Great gesture. That's a very desirable bow.
