I came across two of these recently. They are 1 1/8 wide and 2 1/2 long and weigh 170 and 176 grains.

My Delta 4 blade weigh closer to the 175 gr w/ an aluminum adapter. the Eskimo 4 blade w/adapter are closer to 155-160. Are those steel adapters?

Probably a 4-blade Eskimo with a fairly heavy adaptor. The Eskimos have a 11/32 ferrule and weigh about 125 grains as a glue in. The Eskalite has a 5/16 inch ferrule and weighs about 115 grains without an adaptor. Both come in two- and four- blade, and they look identical. The Delta is a wider head and also comes in two- and four- blade, but it has straight edges.

from what I've seen, only the Eskimo is cut like that on the back end. They list 170 grain Eskimo on 3-River website that is 1 1/4 x 2 9/16. I thought maybe these were an earlier model.

the older adapters are 35gns for short ones and 50gns for long ones. So yes it could be 175 or close.

Definitely an Eskimo. Eskilites are 1-1/16 wide and 10 grains lighter. MP

Yup. I sometimes file the wings off to make them easier to sharpen.
