I hope to make it to this one. I have never done a shoot before. Any of you have advice or can tell me what to expect at a shoot like this?

Hi Matt, All the 3D animals are setup in a natural setting. There's an adult stake and a cub stake to shoot from. Bring your friends and camp out or shoot all the targets in one day.
On Saturday archers/bowhunters can qualify for the Stump-Shoot Challenge, Saturday evening will be the shoot-off for the Stump-Shoot Challenge.

I spoke with Conner Wagstaff earlier this morning. Two rounds of 50 to be shot. You can shoot both rounds in one day or one each day. Cost is $25.00 for the shoot and $10.00 for primitive camping. There are showers and restrooms. I plan on being there for the shoot and will probably camp over. Matt, most traditional shoots like this are very reasonable distances at 3-D targets. Very few long shots although some are "fun shots" at 70+ yards. We will keep scores but no official competition or trophies this year. No specific classes or arrow limitations according to what he told me this morning. A lot of fun and fellowship. Conner expects 75 to 100 shooters this year. You will have fun. You may want to bring along some arrows you do not mind losing just in case you come to a target you don't feel real comfortable with.

Sounds like a great time and shoot, If you've never been to Texas this may be a good one to go to,and through in a hog hunt! hard to find that anywhere else ! Wish I had the time to go, I love Texas and these people !!!

We had several vendors setup today. Several trailers and tent campers already setup . There's bowyers, leather makers, and knife makers. One young man when out hog hunting with his dad and killed 2 hogs already. We're going to start registration at 7:30am tomorrow.

If you want to make one of the other Stickbow 100 events, there's 2 planned for August in Indiana and Georgia.
