Had a follow up with David Alford on Sunday, and it was very helpful. We then shot together for a couple of hours. David was shooting a 54" Recurve using his method and was extremely accurate. Thanks again David. Joel

David has contacted me also. He has been very helpful and generous with his time. >>>-----> Ken

So, what is his method?

David made it clear that he isn't disclosing the method until a time that he decides it is what he wants to do. He did share it with a few here and it seems they are appreciative of that.

Glad it helped , and he donated his time and knowledge for those that wanted it

see no reason a person should not use a release if it helps em.

I agree with Hiram, for me it's either go to a release or to a xbow I would like to continue to use my longbows but Athritis in the fingers has made the decision for me to start looking for some finger relief.

I went to Davids first session and it was informative. With my target panic shooting right handed a release is what I needed. Davids release is stupid simple and works great, at least it does for me. Ill be shooting a release right handed but still will shoot fingers left handed so I can shoot some of the 3-ds coming up. Thanks again David for your time ,Frank.

Frank, catch me before I go overseas in a few weeks and I'll show you some golf swing stuff.

About the releases...it's just part of the STAR Method, but perhaps the most interesting. IMO, it makes archery more fun, the feeling is more fun and it really works great with short bows or any bow...However, Joel was using one of the glove/tab methods and no release involved. Some people will prefer those.

I think we'll be working on a film in 6 months or so...perhaps also some bow stuff in the works...mostly for the compound shooter/short bow afficionados.

This is the year...

If this is the year we will all know in less than three months.
