We have a couple spots still open for our bear hunt this year! We are heading back to Maine with Tony Baucher at Squapan Mountain Outfitters this fall. Its a great hunt! We will shoot alot of stikbows through the day and hunt bear in the evenings. We always have the best time and Tony and crew put on a top notch hunt. We will also be giving a new bow to the biggest bear that week! Give Tony a call or check out his websight or give me a call with any questions. 417-725-3113 http://squapan.homestead.com/home.html

What size bears are you guys taking ? Some of the bear pictures look really small. It's about having a good time but, I would want to shoot a boo boo. I've taken some P&Y bears with modern bow but would like to take a trad bear. That's a real good price for a week hunt and accommodations

Thanks, Ghost

Awesome!!

The average size bears in Maine is 150 to 175 . But we have much larger. We take some 200,300plus every year! The real deal is that it's like fishing! Ya got the throw the small one back to catch the big ones! But if the guys are having a great time and having a true Northwoods experience with some of the greatest guys in the world, that's why we do it! Anyone is welcome at our campfire! Squapan mountain oufitters Come for the total experience!!

Thanks Tony

Tony and his wife Lynn run a first class camp and the folks that come there are a great bunch of guys and gals. I have hunted in other camps, but Squapan is hard to beat. Great accommodations and home style cooking. Oh, and they do have some dandy bears!! Uncle Jim

Tony snd Lynn are great hosts. In my opinion, for what you get on this hunt is a bargain. Tony and family go out of thier way to make you feel at home. Also, he gets some goid Bears coming to his stands. My bear was 365 lbs with an 18" skull. Correct me if I'm wrong but uncle Jims bear was around 280, I think Kennidies Esick's bear was around 350 lbs. Ive been there when a few 200+ lb bears have been taken. I'd say they are all Respectical Maine bears.

The Black widow /squapan hunt is full! But with that said we do have openings for the 2 following weeks! These weeks are open to any legal weapons.if your a trapper and have a license in your state. You can also leg hold snare a second bear.we will not charge for the 2nd bear you just have to get a trapping license in Maine. We are also offering group rates for those weeks!
