The extra weight and balance triggers old memories from the compound days. It's a good feel for me on this bow. Cameron

I like a bow quiver too.

I like a small light quiver Just got an efa 3 arrow thats feather lite

for stumping or small game I like a back or side quiver that holds 12 or more

I think it really quiets a bow and gives less hand shock too.

I use a bowquiver on recurves, but not on longbows.

I agree with you frank. Cameron

I,ve tried bow mounted quivers (so convient) but just can't get along with the off balance feel

Great Northern strap on was abot the best that I tried,

Seems like every year I start out with one hunting , but it soon comes off

end up with GFA style ,back quiver or Saxton Pope type (depending on situation/weather)

I recently started using a bow limb quiver for the first time, and I can tell much of a difference in shooting the bow. I like it. I got the Big Jim's Quiver.

From: ephphatha

I mean I can't tell much difference.

From: Tal McNeill

The only one I've found that doesn't affect the balance is the Eagles Flight. You can barely tell it's on there. Good quality stuff too. Definitely helps silence the bow, kinda like an "organic" Limbsaver.

Loving the Great Northern adjustable on my Predator. I shoot better with the extra weight on the bow.

I do not like anything more on a bow than absolutely necessary...hip quiver only for me...got a new one which will only hold one arrow...that just makes me more careful to pick my shots...one shot only thinking no matter what I have in my hands

My groups are a little tighter with a quiver on a bow. I have a 2 Oclock cant, and the mounted quiver puts it right there. I've tried to shoot with out a mounted quiver, but I just don't group'em the same.

Many folks appreciate a sense of convenience with it, or prefer how it holds and shoots with it, and that's great.

Personally, I've gone to great lengths to reduce the physical weight of my bows and precisely balance them so that they hold like they're not even there. A quiver of arrows attached completely ruins it for me. I would no sooner strap a quiver full of arrows on a bow of mine than a pair of binoculars and a bologna sammich ;)

I use Eagle's Flight bow quivers, and I've never noticed it affecting my accuracy at all, whether on a heavy recurve or my lightest longbow.

I wear a daypack while hunting, and having a back/side quiver as well is too much.

I prefer the bow mounted quiver as well. There are a number of benefits and no drawbacks to it for me. IOW, there's no reason not to use one, again, "for me".

From: Bernie P.

I tried the GN on my longbow.Convenient but I didn't like the feel when shooting. They don't bother me on my recurve but I still prefer the side quiver and only use the bow quiver(I have the Quickie Quiver with extra brackets for the side quiver and tree screw in)for raising/lowering from stands.

I use a bow quiver and have since the early 1960's. I can't tell much if any difference between having it on or not when it comes to shooting. It is way more convenient when stalking or going to and from a stand IMO.

I like a bow quiver for the convenience, my favorite is the Kanati. I adapt pretty quick to the weight and feel but I do like the way the bow balances better without a quiver on it.

The one thing I don't like about bow quivers is the possibility of brushing the fletching of the quivered arrows against something, a very noticeable noise potentially at the very worst time. Fletch covers help but they have their own disadvantages.

One of these years I'm going to a side quiver, but I'm sure I'll find issues with them too...lol. Everything's a compromise.

I dont like the thought of drilling wholes for a quiver, I have three from compounds in the cabnet, I like hip or back types

I use a Thunderhorn small fry boa on my longbows. I like the looks, the weight is not bad at all, and I feel it helps me to hold a longbow a bit steadier. I have used a back quiver, catquiver, several kinds of side quivers, and bow quivers over the years. They all have some drawbacks to them. You just have to find what works for you.

Never liked a bow quiver on any of my bows...and I've seen and tried a bunch of good ones.

I wear a fairly simple sidequiver..Allows for backpack..Goes on or off in a few seconds for brushy country..Holds plenty of arrows for a whole week's hunting in remote country.. Many archery hunters love them..but maybe they also like I Pads and GPS ..:)Jim

As opposed to home computers and internet forums...and side quivers? Haha...

EFA quiver, on my Kota Killum bow. Balances-well.

Love the feel and convenience of a bow quiver. I have a Fred Bear Quiver on my Predator. Has a real old school look that I like. I use a Big Jims strap on on by Bear Kodiak Hunter. Super light, well made and simple, not to mention rock solid on the boy. I usually carry only 4-5 arrows while hunting. 3-4 with broad heads, 1-2 with judos or blunts.

It all depends. I like a naked bow but when I go elk hunting with a pack its time to put a bow quiver on. Tried lots of ways but a bow quiver was best ONLY when its backpack elk hunting.

I like the Thunderhorn 2point quivers on my take down recurves and the Selway slide on for my longbows or a one piece recurve. DANNY

I have a few bow quivers, but it seems since I only shoot target, I never have them mounted on the bow. Silly maybe, but I like the idea that if I ever wanted it, it's ready to go, kinda like having my bows properly silenced.

Backquiver for roving, stumping, 3 arrow Thunderhorn boa for hunting w/ longbow, custom Zipper 3 arrow limb bolt quiver w/ takedown Zippers - recurve and longbow.

I just received my 4 arrow quiver with adjustable Totem in the mail from EFA today. It fits my Morrison Cheyenne great and I like the fact that it's one piece and I can remove it from the bow when on stand. It has the most solid mounting system of any traditional bow mount quiver I've owned!

An adjustable totem? You get a totem pole with the quiver? Damn...that's neat. 8^).

I would rather not have a quiver on my bow but I always ware a backpack when elk hunting and a bow quiver seems like the best compromise. May have to try a side quiver someday.

I can tell you that Ive used em all But I still dont like a quiver on my longbow I will use a solo stalker for the first shot I am making a side quiver (asbel type) to carry extra's

For small game I like a back or enclosed side quiver.
