I just got a new to me Wing a few months ago. Absolutely love it. Congrats on a great bow.

Scott, I believe your bow is a 1967. I bought my Wing Gull 64" 40#er; s/n G7-3519 as a left over when I got back to the states in '68. Still have it and like to shoot it now and then. Mine has a lighter maple riser with brown glass limbs. Enjoy.

Shick

The Wing bows were perhaps the very finest of their time. I have owned several. My competition recurve is a metal riser Wing Slim Line Competition from 1971. I sold three late model Hoyt olympic style recurves as I prefer the old Wing. It is about as fast and is smoother and sweeter shooting.

I won the NFAA soutwest sectional field champs with it a couple of years ago. - lbg

I pick up one a few years ago for my son at the swap meet at Denton, it was 47-48#. Great shooter. Sometimes wish I would have kept it for me :-). DANNY

I have 3 Wing Gulls. They are great all around recurves. Smooth drawing and enough weight in the risor to be very stable. Your's is a beauty. Gongrats on your new Gull. Sodbusterjim.

Just found this older thread doing a search on Wing Gull bows. I just picked one up (my third Gull), and it is very similar to Shick's. Mine also has a medium brownish-red stained maple riser. The s/n of mine is VERY close to Shick's. My Gull's s/n is G7-3549. Only off by 30 bows. My Gull is 41#@28", and has brown glass. Shoots fast, and draws smooth.

Hey guys - I have G7-3019. 64" 47# @ 28". We're both 50 this year. Last year was lucky enough to take a doe and a buck with it. This is the one vintage bow I hope to never part with.

Gave a 30# Gull to my GF on excellent advice from Leatherwallers. Compares well to a friend's 30# P2 :-)

Fletch, glad to see this thread re-surface; congratualtions on your newest 'Gull'. My grandson Sal who is 15, is shooting mine now. He will be going with me to Ski SawMill tomorrow. At 64" it's much smoother than a bear takedown I rigged up for him. My brother and I bought our Gull's August of '68, they were left- overs. Though it is 50 years old now, I'll try to hunt with it a bit next year. I can't say enough about this old bow, smooth accurate hardly expensive. I believe we payed less than $40 for each. The falcon was another 'sleeper' by wing. Good luck to you Fletch. Shick

Got 3 Wing Falcons. One from each Era of Production. 62" 25# Original Wing, 62" 30# Head Ski Era and 66" 35# AMF Era. Amf is totally different shape riser and longer. Like them all. I have Ben Pearson Golden Knight, Shakespeare X32 Necedah, and a Drake Firedrake. Like the Wings best of all. sig9

Those old Bob Lee designs are sweet. Had a White Wing target bow, sculpture you can shoot!
