I already have a original dwyer longbow which I love. Thinking about ordering one of these. Want some feed back from people who own or shot them which one they like best? Mine is 68in. long and want a shorter one to add to the collection.

I owned two Dauntless and they were the best longbows I have ever shot!

Depends what you are looking for. They are both great bows, but in my opinion the dauntlass is smoother and faster. The Defiant is a D bow that still has outstanding performance with the more traditional look. Hope this helps!

I've owned a couple original Dwyers and a Dauntless. I like the 66" originals better. I still have one of the 66"ers and I don't think there is a better deep core/narrow limb longbow out there.

I've shot all of the Dwyer longbows and chose the Dauntless. Very smooth on the draw and more accurate then I am.

I have the Defiant, and love it. It has the wider limbs like a selfbow Which i like. My dad owns the longbow and the Dauntless. He loves both of them. I have shot several of their bows at 3-D shoots at different weights and woods. They are all amazing!

I would say that the Dauntless, to me, seems to have a bit more snap! From my perspective. Dave is a great guy and will make the bow the way YOU want it and they all seem to be not only beautiful but shoot fantastic.

my next purchase is going to be Their longbow, I am using my dads this year and love it.

Hope this helps, and just go with the one that you like to look of best. Have fun choosing! ;)

I just got my Dauntless. What workmanship. It is one of the prettiest bows I've ever seen. And I own it!!!! Tulipwood and ebony w/ osage accents.. I am use to shooting the D shaped longbows... Not the R/Ds. The R/D seem to be less forgiving of my poor release....but when I release right and don"t drop my bowarm... Ain't no deer safe within 25 yards. She shoots as fast as any recurve I've owned. And I've had most of the top ones.

I have a 66in original and had a Dauntless for a while. The Dauntless was smooth and fast, but a bit louder than my original, so I ordered a 64in Original. I found the bows for me. Dwyers!

I would probably of got a shorter bow but the 68in. I have was in a friends shop and was used less than a year. And being a compound shop it did'nt sell and he wanted to get rid of it. Got it for 300.00 bucks. So for that price I can deal with a couple inches. Thanks guys Ky..Rob nic looking bow thanks for the pics love the Guitar.

I talked to Dave Dwyer a couple years back about the same question. For a long draw , my 30, he recommended the Dauntless. Fine bow all around.

I think Dave Dwyer shoots a dauntless that should maybe help decide I have defiant. great bow but bought used.

I had a Dauntless and an Endeavor. Never shot the Defiant. The Dauntless was smooth as butter. Shot it extremely well. The Endeavor is a smooth shooting bow as well. But it is faster and shorter. Had to sell them due to dropping in draw weight. Also the grips on the Dwyers is really nice and comfortable,

'Dauntless'! (;

I've shot them all. I thought the defiant felt the most stable. Maybe cause of the wider limbs. Can't go wrong with either tho.
