VERY early Fred Bear longbow. Serial Number C-16263, 37#. LH/RH. Glass laminates. Plain limb tips. Designed for a left or right handed shooter, felt rests on either side. Leather-wrapped handle. It uses decals, and this one has the "Standing Bear" decal which was only used in the 1953-1955 period. This is not to be confused with the "Patent 1953" silkscreening that went on Fred Bear bows from 1953-1972. This one actually dates to 1953-1955. It is a longbow with a slight recurve to the front. Unfortunately, I couldn't resist using it and it delaminated on me. That's the zip tie holding the lamination down. The damage may be repairable, or it may be a wall-hanger. It's got quite a lot of collector's value there!
