I bought this bow originally from Tom Parsons, a respected bowyer in his own right. John made it for him, his 3rd for him as you can see from the description and signature on the riser. It has four bamboo laminates, faced with black glass on the belly and face, marked "American Longbow" on one limb, and "The Legend" on the other. It pulls 55@28". Tom took immaculate care of his bows - he often had samples other bowyers would send him to shoot. (I learned from him when he saw me shooting my Bighorn Takedown on the range. I haven't shot it in 3 yrs, it's been stored laying on it's side in an air conditioned room and is in near mint condition. I can't shoot it because of a back injury. (though if you have a Robertson Stickbow or Blackwidow 45lb @28 I'd consider a trade (recurves)). I've seen comments saying this is too high a price; well, there aren't going to be anymore made, Schulz was taught by Hill how to build bows, and from the prices on custom bows today, I'd say it's a reasonable price. It comes with a string and a really nice Elk skin case. Reasonable offers entertained.More pics on request. Joe at [email protected]
