but I figured its the best place to make
everyone aware and prevent you from losing
your hard earned money because I know not
everyone reads the forums consistently. DO
NOT SELL to the person with the handle
BUSH BOW. He is a scammer. Here is how his
scam works. I was listing a Howatt Hunter
and he contacted me and said he would take
it and that he would send a postal MO.
About 2 weeks go by and he texts me saying
the money is going out and he sends me a
tracking # for it (which I thought was
odd, why would I need to track the money,
if it doesn't come I don't send the
bow...?) about two days later the envelope
arrives and almost as soon as I get the
envelope out of the mailbox a text from
him comes saying that his "secretary
overwrote the check in an error and that
it would be made out for 1,950", I had the
bow listed for $95. At this point I'm like
yeah right. First of all it wasn't a
postal money order like he originally said
(it was a fake cashier's check) and also
he wanted me to mobile deposit the check
and then send an online transfer from my
bank to his. He kept asking when could I
do it. I then told him to beat it, and
then searched for his name on the search
here and found multiple forums about this
guy. It's sad that he's probably had
people fall for this scheme. Anyway I
wanted to let you all know how this guy
works because some people weren't sure how
his scheme played out. Be vigilant!
