I was lucky 40 yrs ago when a older lady shooting on a target league asked if I wanted to buy her departed husbands fletching jig. I think she charged me $25 and it came with straight clamps. I bought a new set of helical clamps for it (glad I did back then) and its fletched hundreds of arrows in my lifetime. Not sure if JoJan came before or after this one. Maybe someone knows? Why these are not made any more beats me....

I have that one too. Before the Jo-Jan. A good fletching tool.

I have that one also and it has served me well.

Mike -

Pretty much same thing happened to me, guy getting out of archery sold me one for a song; about the same time too. Still have the original helical, but got a JJ straight about 15 years ago. Both still work fine.

Guys, you know the J.G.G. and JJ are exactly the same, except for the decal, right?

Viper out.

If I`m not mistaken ( I can hardly remember that far back) I think the helical clamps I bought were JoJans. They are exact as far as I know.

Ya, hard to beleive jojan closed shop. Its all ive ever used.

Looks like FS Discount Archery still sells them. I also found Jo-Jan.net offers multi and mono jigs and clamps. As with many my multi and mono have me well for nearly 40 yrs. One the best investments I ever made.

I have two of the jo-jans. Bought my first one in 1980 I believe. The second one my brother in law gave me. I like being able to make a dozen arrows in a couple hours or less.

My multi Fletcher gotta be 45+ years old and have several mono's also. Normally use a blitz now but when making youth or flu flu arrows out comes the multi Fletcher. Also have right, left and straight clamps, bought them all before the price got so high. Couldn't began to guess how many arrows it has fletched over the years.

I had both the Multi-Fletcher and a Jo-Jan but now use two Bitzenburgers. They are more positive and give me better results. Fletching is not a speed contest for me.

Guess I have been lucky. Except for when I am not paying attention have I had any issues with my JoJan or my two Blitz’s. It usually happens when I am rushing for whatever reason. Then agian I don’t try and get maximum helical either.

Man I had to look to see, FS archery doesnt sell them. I dont think anyone does any more, they are gone. It would cost $600 in Bitzenburgers to do what a multi fletcher will do. I measure where my feather is in the clamp with a machinists rule, the fletch jobs are as perfect as the feathers allow. With the adjustments on the frt and rear, you can tune any feather to any size shaft. Ive fletched from 1212 to 2219. If they were brought back theres some money to be made.

A multifletcher will work just as well as any out there once set up well. I used one in our shop for near twenty years before selling it to another guy who was opening a shop. We made hundreds of dozens of arrows on that setup and you could really get a deep helical with those clamps. I don't know how much precision you need but it sure worked fine for us and those folks we made arrows for.

I must have accessed an old FS Discount site. My apologies.

I am looking for either one of those in leftwing helical if someone has one for sale.

have a 40 yr. old HoytTri-heli fletch, puts on three at a time, simple little piece that has done hundreds of arrows.

I have a straight Multi Fletcher too from sometime before your 40 years ago and it works great. Had to be the early sixties before I was in the Navy, so it's old, but good. Use a right wing JoJan now bought a few back and based on my approval of the performance of that Multi Fletcher. Keep a single JoJan fletcher in my large tackle box for the road. They work good enough for my fletching needs, and if I remember, they even could set those 1.75-inch Plasti-Fletch on 1616 aluminums for my target bows. Bet my newer JoJan could do the same.
