I congratulate those of you who are able to shoot, and love, these various EDB's (Evil Dwarf Bows)...and I caution the rest of you to beware them. They may work for diminutive physiques like Frisky or Ron LeClair, but the rest of us would do well to avoid them. ;-)

90% of traditional archers likely don't draw over 28", and it's also likely many don't even get to that. There's a reason the Kodiak Magnum was one of Bear's most popular hunting bows from the day it was introduced...and is still being made.
There is no innate inaccuracy with the shorter bows either, so give one a try versus listening to someone who 'tried on once and didn't care for it'. You may or may not care for them, but you may like them a lot. It's always best to try for yourself versus taking another's word for something. They aren't made for everyone, but they are great bows for a lot of folks.

I like short bows, but my Drake does demand concentration to get a consistently clean release. I've had no release trouble with 58" bows.

Hi I just joined this group and found this thread. Some beautiful bows here. There is one in particular that I would like to respond to. It is the 38" little suckling in Dao's post. The riser for this bow was designed by my late husband and our son. It was sent to John Tluszcz of Little Suckling Recurves so that this 38 Special could be built for my husband. My husband passed away and my son contacted John so that he could buy this bow as it was the last project that he and his father worked on together. John told my son that he would hold the bow for as long as it took for him to get the money together. My son was diagnosed with cancer and was hospitalized for 6 months while fighting for his life. When he was released from the hospital he contacted Mr. Tluszcz to get the bow. Mr. Tluszcz told my son that he had sold the bow. His exact words were "I had a guy begging me for it, so I sold it." My son was crushed when John told him this. John Tluszcz is obviously not a man of his word.
Mr Dao if you were to ever decide to sell this bow, I would appreciate it if you would give me the first chance at buying it. I would love to put this bow in the hands of my son. He and his father worked very hard designing this riser. If you doubt what I am saying, you can contact Mr Tluszcz. If he is man enough to be honest with you, he will tell you that everything I have written is the truth.
