This is a 1973 Damon Howatt Ventura 66" AMO and 25# at 28". I just got the bow and want to try to get her back to her former glory. There's, what appears to be, a blister on one of the limbs. It's about 1" x 2" in size. What can be done to fix this? Also, what is the correct way to fix holes in the riser...from a pin-sight. Any info is greatly appreciated, thanks.

the finish is coming off. you can scrape the rest off pretty easily and then refinish.

thanks larry...is there a particular finish I should use or just some 220 grit sandpaper and helsman spar urethane?

if the finish is brittle scraping works fine, followed by 300 grit. urethane is a good finish.
