Well i have been wanting to try it.... Here is the result... a 85# sidewinder. I have not gotten a chance to chrono it as of yet, but it seems right up there. Flat shooting as all get out and i am amazed - you don't feel it firing but DO hear the fletch whistle - like in the movies.

Laminated walnut handle with bicote overlays. I do know i shot it with a thumbring using 33" arrows and drawing to my ear - about 31.5". I would not want to be infront of it for sure!

It seems very stable - but im gonna put about 150 shots through it before i call it a success :)

Thought i'd share :)

Dave

Now that is an amazing looking bow.

Great looking bow but at 85 pounds the only sound I'd here would be my shoulder seperating. :o) Getting too old I guess.

Very Cool! Wondered when you were going to build something for us heavy hitters, if you decide to send this one around, keep me in mind....please!.........Love to see some performance numbers too....

Very unique design, but far too stout for me. I count myself fortunate that after 30 years of shooting stickbows, I am still able to handle poundage in the upper 50's. The heaviest I have shot was in the upper 70's and that convinced me of the wisdom of remaining firmly in the "moderate" camp.

Oh don't get me wrong, its to heavy for me to shoot for very long as well. But every once in a while i get asked when....

I may just send two of these around, i have a friend that wants one and i am thinking of building another - have someone else shoot it and save my arms and back =)

very beautiful bow congrats but you may regret the 85# part in the future

Oh i don't plan on it being here that long, i like the mellow 40 to 50 pound bows, my back and body seem to like those as well :)
