Any of you guys with Quinn bows , especially stallions , have you ever chronographed them? If so , what kind of numbers at certain arrow weights or grains per pound?

I shoot a Stallion. Great bow, shoots where I look, stable, love the grip, quiet, etc. It gets the job done. Never worry about speed (although I think it' fairly fast).Sorry, I can't give you any chonograhed speeds. Speed just isn't that important to me, shootability is .

it's pretty quick for a laminated glass limb - it delivers from the full length of the limb - but it's not any faster than many other good glass limbs - they are very smooth

I have two, a Quinn Stallion classic and a "plain" Stallion. The Classic (54lb @ my 27 1/2 draw length shot a 2115 485 gr arrow at 180 feet per second. My Stallion (50lb at the same draw length shot the same arrow at 173 feet per second.

Those are the numbers that I got. I love my Quinns. Maybe not the fastest bows out there but I would not change them for any other.

Thanks guys, I can't really say that I am a speed freak, but I do like to get the most performance out of the bow for the energy that I put in. I guess they call that dynamic eficiency. Also, the two guys I shoot with the most have pretty high performance bows. One shoots Morrison recurves, the other a Border recurve. They let me shoot their bows whenever I want to and it is a bit addictive to see that arrow zip out there that fast. I've read a lot of good things about Quinn bows and was just wondering how much performance(speed)for the buck?

I never chronographed my Stallion, but it seems to zip them out there pretty good. My brother, who only shoots a compound, was next to me while I was shooting some stumps in the woods the other day after hunting the morning and he commented how fast it was. I have a 51#@27" Stallion and I am currently shooting Beman 400 ICS Hunters with a 125 grain head. That is a pretty light combo and I am still playing around with different arrow combinations and looking to go a little heavier.

I love my Stallion, the metal handle gets damn cold up here in New England. I had ice forming on the grip from the heat/moisture of my hand every time I picked it up (and I was wearing a glove). Easy fix so I am not complaining.
