Here is a ERC ELB I have been working on. I am wanting it to bend through the handle a little, I haven't had much experience with this desighn. The bow is 76 inches long and pulling 60# @20 inches with a 3 inch brace height, I am going to tiller it to 60# @ 27. How is the tiller looking, where would you remove wood? Riley

Yar bugger, she is comming a long nice. I would sugest starting to get more of the outer 1/4 working. Youw ant an elb to bend through the handle but not a whole lot. otherwise handshock will be bad. I would bet if you get the outer 1/4 working you will pull it right where it needs to be.

Me too. Looks good but work mid limb on now. Once the tiller looks good start to increase brace height. Jawge

I tillered the the bow 60# @ 26 and stopped to allow for some breaking in. I started with 3/4 inch of set and ended up with 2 1/2. It surprised me how fast it shoots.

Riley, real nice bow. Tiller looks good. ELB tillers are hard to see on longer versions with shorter draws. You can see from your string angles on your full draw pic that they are very high.....meaning.....betcha she is a smooth shooter for you.
Are you gonna do horn nocks? I am hoping to get to that next part on the buold a long early next week if you have ntdone them before.
PS.....that deer rack full of bows is cool! You and Forest Archer sure do know your deer hunting, between the two of you you gots some nice bucks!

Sam, Go and get it. If its not ERC but white cedar then amke some sinew backed bows. Great combo.

Steve, I am going to watch the build a long before I put horn knocks on it. The bow is a smooth shooter, cedar is so brittle I was trying to get every inch of the bow to bend.

Thanks everyone. I think the bow was a little wet when I tillered it, it feels like it's gained some poundage after it's been in the house a while. I am going to start on another one and go for some higher poundage, about 80 pounds @ 27. Riley
