Has anyone tried using annihilator Broadheads from a traditional bow? I'm thinking about trying the 125gr xl. I've shot and tested them quite a bit from a compound bow, they are extremely durable. They don't "appear to be a traditional style" Broadhead, not totally sold on the idea, just wondering.of anyone has used them successfully

I have not tried them, nor will I from what I can tell from photographs. They look like they have a concave solid “bottom” between the blades which would add a lot of friction and impede penetration. May not make a huge difference in the compound world, but I want all the penetration I can get for my trad bows. This is just personal feelings, so take with a grain of salt and make your own decision.

Very narrow, yet still a high-resistance design. Sexy name for a gimmicky product; their whole value proposition is that it does something that no other head has ever “needed” to do. And a BH only needs to do 2 things : cut cleanly and penetrate.

Agree with Corax. They actually look like the trailing edge is sort of cupped????? I'd have to have one in hand to be sure. For me, a three blade with such poor mechanical advantage is a no go.

Annihilator,,,,??? Some of the names manufacturers come up with for their BH's seem more like the names of characters on the pro rasslin' circuit.

Wouldn't that scoop deter penetration? Would like to see it shot into a heavy bone...

They have some tests on their website shooting through 3/4" plywood, a car hood and into a chunk of concrete. Penetration in those tests is not an issue.

I've used zwickeys for years and love them. My go to Broadheads are vpa's. I'm not trying to be a proponent of the annihilator brodhead. Or encourage anyone to use them. I was just simply asking if anybody had tried them and what their thoughts were.

My guess is no one here has tried them on game. Tried and true seems to kinda go hand and hand with trad.

I viewed their penetration tests and seems like an interesting concept, and would kinda like to try one but too rich for my blood...

I like the design and think they would fly really well out of a trad bow. One review said not good blood trails on 2 deer, lung hits. So not perfect but like Zbone I would like to try them except for the price.
