Cameron, I responded to your other thread, but what's the specs if your calling it a "Lil brother" to Barbee? It's not 100#'s at 36" draw?? :-D

Dang it...Y'all keep it up and you're going to cause me to buy one of those JC Optimus risers. Is that a 17" or a 19"?

Same riser and good limbs ok little brother to who knows

From: Rooty

17" riser. 40#er

David, you wouldn't be disappointed. :-)

P.S.

I don't have any of John's new riser models. All I have are the originals. A 19", and a 21". I love them both.

Ok FOLKS! It's the BIG FAT DUMMY. Eyes dumb and doan gets out much! I see a bow but what's the catch? I'm kinda like Captain Kirk "I don't like puzzles!" See ST TOS "Simplicity is The EPITOME of EXCELLENCE!"
From: Draven

There is no catch JBM, just pay attention more. Rick has a 21" riser and MOAC limbs for a whooping #64 (if I remember right) while Rooty posted here his 17" riser (same product like Rick's)and MOAC limbs in #40s. Rick's bow is "Big Brother" while Rooty's bow is "Little Brother".

Same speed with riser change 40#@27 9.8 GPP arrow

After reviewing arrow flight in my mind there was a little something in there. Rather than go through the process of tuning I put some 500 arrows through. I actually had to increase tension on the plunger. 2 risers previous I was shooting 500 spine well. Anyway same speed with 500's.

400 spine will tune also. 28"/200 tip is stuff 34"/125 tip weak. Somewhere in between there's a tune. Glue flus are flying great. Good to be in a large zone of arrow flight. Was a long winter and being a sicky didn't help. Sunshine and arrow are the cure.

Re tunned 600 spine over 9gpp. 10 shots ranging 205-208.

Draven, was NOT aware about the 21" riser. I guess THAT was for RICK's BOW? Hope that the BOWS shoot well and bring LOTS of fun? Rooty's First photo wouldn't show up on my PC. Maybe that would have esplained things.

@Rooty — WHAT is your DL??

Those are some big ol’ hooooks. Looks like they work pretty guud. Not my favorite style, but are we spoiled for great options or what???

27"

You’re breaking 200 with 9 GPP and a 27” DL??

That’s SMOKIN’!!!

[[[ "You’re breaking 200 with 9 GPP and a 27” DL??

I do it when drawn to 28", and 10 gpp arrows for an average of 206 fps, but I am shooting 9.3 gpp at 30.5" (65#), and a lot faster.

Heh Heh - That the BWC MOACs for ya.

Nothing else like them. :-)

Any How At @ 1,025.00 those BWC MOAC limbs should be throwing lightning Bolts

From: Rooty
Date: 11-Apr-24

Yes I get that. However with 7 or 8 sets of limbs and 2 dozen bows of various types of laying around that probably won't get shoot I am glad I have them. I have a 40# bow that performs at least 20% better than conventional. But that's not all. When drawing 75% of the weight is there right away, that gets your attention the last 3 to 4" you don't notice any build up. Up until 3 years ago before string walking I was a heavy bow archer, none of those bows do it for me anymore.

From: Rooty
Date: 11-Apr-24

With one bow I can shoot 340 spine with 300 tip point on at 47 yards to a 700 spine with 75 tip I don't know the point on yet my

Yep Rooty, that’s why my son likes his border CV 9 and 44#@28” very stiff on the start of draw and soft at the back end, Very good with 13 to 14 grains per pound, He said he could shoot Elephants with this setup. ??
