I’ve recently become intrigued with Mike Treadway’s bows but have learned that he’s out to 2026 on orders. I’m particularly interested in his Black Swamp and Black Forest models. If you have one could you post a pic of it .Thanks.

Hardly see any in the classifieds. I’ve been searching for one that needs rehoming but haven’t had any luck.

I have a 62" Black Swamp, and it'll be the last bow I part with, other than my ASLs. It is light, smooth, stable - pretty much any positive adjective you can apply. And the grip suits me very well. I have a friend that is selling his Black Swamp - 60", and #52 @ 28". Clear glass, a dark and mottled riser which is a beauty, but I have no idea of the woods used. Send me a PM if you are interested, and I'll get the two of you connected.

Rough Rider, Thanks but your friends is a little heavy for me. Looking for something around 60” mid 40’s.

Rough Run, your friend wouldn't happen to be a lefty would he?

No, I'm sorry Maclean, he's a righty!

From what I've observed, the Black Swamps are harder to find on the used market than the Black Forest. I think the Black Swamp is a little more aggressive limb profile, but I'm not certain. I have enough bows in the low 50s, so I admired and passed. But, if my friend's bow were lighter, in the mid-40s, I think I would have brought it home from the shoot yesterday, as a future shooter.

Just as well Rough Run, I'm trying to thin the herd as it is. Thanks

Here are my Treadways. Hopefully from top to bottom. 60" Black Swamp, 62" Black Swamp, and 62" Black Rock.

I believe the Black Forrest has a limb profile similar to the Black Rock.
