Don I used to have a black hawk Mosquito with those glue on nock tips and it appeared to have just a famica type glass on it front and back . I can’t remember what ever happened to that bow .Rather it broke or did I give it to someone ? Lol my memory is getting bad. Keefers

Some of those late 50's Black hawk bows with cross weave glass on the back take set if left strung, and worse yet will blow. My buddy had me tie a string for one 3 wks ago that was 50lb at 28"from the factory, and had bad set. Bow looked in very good shape, but when I pulled it to full draw it blew up. I don't trust shooting them. Beware.

Here is my 1957 Blackhawk Hornet that I refinished a few years ago. It's 53#'s, has the green woven glass and shoots great.

Bows were made to shoot so I shoot them.

My Bee. 39# and I believe 57". I refinished it and the Cravotta Brothers decal was not worth saving but the low #67 serial was. Original grip and zero stress. Great 3D bow.

I got it in a trade from a good friend a few weeks ago and cleaned it up .I made a strike plate and a feather rest for it then a string and puffs to match. Has a thumb rest on it and shoots so nice. I will need to take some pictures of the entire bow but for now I’ll show some of the features that I like. The tips are one the things I like about it .

Don, I had a Scorpion like yours, but it had regular cut-in nocks. I do have a Wasp around here somewhere that has those glued-on ones. It has a delamed limb.

Don, I believe they are some sort of micarta. I won’t be able to look at them again until next weekend due to work commitments

OK thanks Mike

Those tips can be removed, use a heat gun or a hair dryer. They come off fairly easy.
