Finished up an Osage bow to hopefully shoot on my trip down to the Tennessee Classic this May. Belly split off a stave Kurt (Bigstriper) and his brother Steve hauled up to Elm Hall for me. Canebrake skins from Joe (ottertails). Thanks, gentlemen.

66", 49#@28". Canebrake skins, beaver tail grip and walnut/whitetail antler tips. Stilldub X99 string. Vinagroon stained belly and back.

I looks great. The design should shoot well and at that weight it will be perfect for 3D and hunting. Congrats.

Oh, almost forgot to mention. Pearl Drums gave a great tip about smoothing skin scale "flaps" down with shellac, worked great, thanks! Not perfect being this was only half of a huge skin with ginormous scales, but I'll be using this technique on every skin from now on.

Also whipped up a sixer of PO Cedar arrows to use while I waited for the spar urethane to dry over the shellac. I know, I know. You woodworkers know what I mean. Hey, it dried eventually. How you guys enjoy the pics, I'll add a full draw whenever my fiance gets some free time and indulges me :)

Looks great Damon. Looks like you figured out how to use those beaver tails.

Hope to see a full draw

Thanks guys! It's a very nice shooter. I got back yesterday from my little 3D course at the Shabin. It's quick and quiet after playing around with the brace a little. Planning to get a few more shots in later today.

Damon the Bow looks great, glad it held up for you and shoots good. You’ll be able to give it a good work out when you get to Tennessee. Kurt
