Brock has been shooting his 45# Bendy Osage Selfbow all of the time since he received it from me. He sent me a text about splitting a nock with another arrow and was pretty excited about that. I told him that his next step was to make his own selfbow and he told me that he had already been watching videos on how to do it. But, it would be this summer after he had completed the remodeling on the house.

I will do my best to help him begin his new adventure in making a selfbow. The next evening, he sent me a pic of an armadillo that he had taken with the bow. He used one of the hex head blunt arrows that I had given him. The shot was from 8 yards and he centered the forehead, stopping it in its tracks. I placed the pic in the 2030=2024 harvest thread.

I advised him to keep his eyes out for snakes hit on the road that would make great backing for his bow. It is really awesome to see someone take this and run with it. He told me that grabbing the bow felt so natural to him, makes me feel pretty good just knowing that someone actually appreciates a bow that I made. Jerry

Little better than having a positive impact on someone's life. Often you get more than you give.....
