My good friend just received his RKKorte 59 Korte 38#@28”-64” long and it’s really one very pretty Korte with the wood combination Richard Korte created . So while it’s been in my shop until this Monday/ Tuesday my friend Bruce wanted me to use it as I wanted to make some B-50 Dacron strings to fit the 64” So when I made him a string to match his bow he asked for some purple yarn to be used in the string puffs and I really think it matched pretty good when all done. I personally like colors of fall and natural colors you see like drab olive, tans, browns, black and other you see . I’m sure there is a purple flower somewhere so it went good I think either way. Anyway enjoy the pictures . The Purple Heart is sandwiched between the Macassar ebony “ I “ beam used in the riser plus three riser has a this accent surrounding the riser as well. Richard as always is very talented in making these bows. Keefers

Not sure what I’m doing wrong but I edit these pictures and make sure they are up right before I submit them here . Then they turn sideways? I’m very sorry for so many of the same pictures folks.

The above picture doesn’t show the puffs But I wanted you all to see the Purple Heart in the “ I” beam . In person it’s really purple in color .

Nice Keith. You need to get ya some 1916, Easton Jazz purple shafts for that setup. That would stand out at the local shoots, and likely no one would mistake your arrows for theirs either. I like em.

Nice bow, I thought Mr. Korte didn’t make bows to order

George this isn’t my bow but a friends I have till mine and another come in . I just used his to make some strings and to put puffs on for him and get it ready. Wayne Richard doesn’t make bows to order . He just shows pictures to me sometimes and I ask him if any are for sale at the time and if the weight range is suitable but usually he won’t know until they are completed before spraying finish on. Most know here he just builds them when he feels like it and if you asked him to keep you in mind when he has one he “Just” may let you know . He’s not in it for a business to sell and do custom work . I can’t blame him one bit in that department cause some folks want this mixed with that and start giving Mr. Korte an order . He’s old school and doesn’t do it for a business if you know what I mean? You except what he created or just move on and wait for one to show up . He loves working with wood rather bows, boats and I believe decoys at one time. He loves working with wood and bows is just one part of it. You never know when one comes up for sale just be ready or contact him is all I can tell folks. Keefers

You can’t even shoot a Hot Air ballon out of the air so no reason to talk about it lol….. While we on the subject about Hot Air that you are full of I must admit . No way I can outdo you on that ….

I like those puffs Keefers, nice job. I started making my own recently. Bought some wool yarn and dyed it with natural greens and browns giving it a variegated look (which turned out better than I thought it would). Made a little jig for tying them up quickly and easily. Started installing them on my bows, but haven't shot them in to puff em out yet, due to recent eye surgery. I'll be able to shoot again next week:)
