The club will have the bowhunter challenge range open at 12 noon for you to begin shooting. You will be able to shoot your 40 targets on the IBO range Saturday and Sunday. Thanks sorry for the omittance. Hope to see lots of archers there!

Kurt, Like Shanna posted we will open at noon on Friday so people can start shooting the Hunter Challenge course and you will be able to pre-register for the 40 target course. I am really looking forward to seeing everyone!!!

Remember at Cloverdale you can shoot all 40 targets in one day, either Saturday or Sunday. So people who have a conflict are still able to come out on the other day and shoot their 40 targets for the championship round for awards. If you are able to stay overnight you can shoot 20 targets on one day and 20 targets the following day. The Bowhunter Challenge is open to make many rounds with one bow, or change classes and shoot another round. This will be fun and lots of shooting to be done.

Cloverdale certainly provides nice courses. However, IBO shoots are mostly about score keeping and not so accommodating to those who just enjoy shooting nice courses with their families. I mean my wife and I enjoy meeting others that share an interest in shooting Trad, but we rather enjoy shooting courses across the country as our time. So, assigned starts and being placed in groups of slow moving methodical score keepers is just not our thing.
We will likely shoot at an open shoot this weekend just 20 minutes south of the IBO shoot or a traditional shoot in the southern part of the state. However, you all have a great time. The weather looks like it is going to be pretty decent

Well, my wife and I shot a course close to home on Friday evening and shot at an open shoot Saturday early afternoon. We had planned on attending the Indiana Traditional Bowhunters Association shoot early on Saturday but we got a late start and there looked to be some rain in their area. So, late afternoon on Saturday we actually did stop by the IBO shoot and shot the Hunters Challenge course.
We did not keep score which is typical for us but rather just enjoyed shooting and the great course. We were surprised how light attendance was. But it was nice having the course to ourselves too. Cloverdale and those involved do a nice job and do deserve a thumbs up.

Just want to say thanks from the IBO to the nearly hundred archers who came out and supported the shoot. Deer Creek Archers did a super job on the set up of the course. And to top it off they are all such nice people, fun and easy to work with. We have enjoyed many years at this fine venue, and look forward to many more. A+ to Deer Creek Archers and Cloverdale Conservation Club.
