Kurt, yes, a Polar Frankenbow, and I posted a how-to on here about 5 years ago. You need to retain the half-round pivot /alignment plastic spacers from the Polar LTD limbs and drill and/or glue those to the bolt-on limbs for alignment. I also saw off the last 4 inches of the Polar LTD limbs to re-use as wedge- shaped spacers to improve limb take-off angle and correct the limb bolt angle. The Polar LTD was cast using nominally modified molds for Bear's Gold medal Olympic-style recurve bow. I used Samick Sage 55# limbs to make a 47# , 64" recurve that was stable, smooth,quiet and accommodates a very long draw.

I “found” one of those risers someone threw away. I was looking at it as a project for those dull days we seem to be having. My thought was take it to our metal shop and have the ILF groove cut into it. The limb pad is flat so wouldn’t need any fillers. But it would need a hole drilled for the limb bolt. I wasn’t sure of the limb pad angle? It would make a nice target riser, the grip is to my liking.

Mark do you have a picture of that Bear Polar LTD you made into a Frankenbow? Sure would like to see it. Thanks!
