Bought this seat in a garage sale a long while back for about 5 bucks.. It's a pretty handy seat to keep around.. Didn't even know it was actually a duck hunter seat originally.. Ever use one?

Won't let me post another pic for some reason, but you get the idea...

I have used one for duck hunting. They work great in wet conditions because the leg doesn't sink in too far. However they are rather unstable .

I've used a version made out of wood. Pretty dang handy.

Back in the day I used to make them for duck hunting in the marsh. Never commercially, but just made for me and my friends. I called them Marsh Stools. Someone came up with a commercially produced version made of metal but I thought it was way too heavy. Very handy for a mobile duck hunter. Some of my friends actually bowhunted with them for marsh deer. There are actually huntable numbers of deer in southern marshes where I grew up. Don't live exclusively in the marsh but also populate "islands" of land in the marsh which had huge oak trees on the islands of land.

I first saw an oldtimer using one for deer hunting, he couldn't wander very far from his car and was hunting off 2tracks with it.. Wasn't long after I saw one at a yard sale and picked it up.. I do favor swamp-/transition areas, and it has been very lucky for me, especially during my self bow days.. I don't think it would make anyone ditch their waldrop pac seat, but it works ok...
